The SACC Program is a before and after school program that is offered through the YMCA.
Every day, we will participate in a variety of activities that include arts and crafts, physical games, Kidz Lit (a literature program with many different activities that involve different books), science activities, homework time, community service, and character development. We teach life skills based on our four core YMCA character traits of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility. Children are taught the value of healthy eating and fitness and engage in social projects to help the needy. Our center based activities allow the child to choose what they want to do and are changed regularly!
Our staff to child ratio for state licensing is 1 to 18; however at the YMCA we do our best to have our ratio at 1 staff member to every 14 kids!
We will be servicing the following schools: Battlefield, Berkeley, Brock Road, Chancellor, Courthouse Road, Cedar Forest, Courtland, Harrison Road, Lee Hill, Livingston, Parkside, Riverview, Robert E. Lee, Salem, Smith Station, Spotswood, and Wilderness Elementary Schools!
