The Rappahannock Area YMCA and Stafford County Schools have announced that the Y will offer Before and After care in 11 elementary schools for the school year 2007-2008. The schools are Anthony Burns, Conway, Falmouth, Garrisonville (held at Rockhill), Hampton Oaks, Margaret Brent, Rockhill, Rocky Run, Stafford, Winding Creek and Widewater Elementary Schools. The hours are 6 am until school starts and the end of school until 6:30 pm. The weekly price is $65 Members of the Y and $85 for participants. Registration has started. Packets are available at each of the schools and at the Y. If you would like to register you can either drop off the packet at the school or at the YMCA will your registration fee attached. The YMCA will continue to have care at the local branches. Registration for 2008-2009 School Year Begins March 10 for Y members/Current Participants and March 24 for New Participants. All Stafford County Elementary Schools will be serviced by the YMCA for the 2008-2009 School Year pending School Board approval. Afternoon care for 3 middle schools: Rodney Thompson, H.H. Poole, and A.G. Wright will be serviced from Ebenezer Methodist Church. At the YMCA, School-Age Child Care program's main goal is to provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate, safe place for children to go so that parents have the freedom to work or study, knowing their children's needs are being met. YMCA School-Age Child Care is a state-licensed program, offering a structured, yet flexible schedule that allows children to choose from an array of fun and challenging activities. Our nurturing staff members reflect the YMCA's values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. You can feel assured knowing that your child will be under the supervision of a highly trained, CPR and First Aid certified staff member at all times.
