10K Run Through History-You will have the privilege of running through one of our National Park Battlefields – you will truly be running through history! The course is 1 loop starting at the Spotsylvania Courthouse Village Pavilion running on Brock Road as a rolling stop from traffic then turning on to Grant Drive in the Spotsylvania Courthouse Battlefield. The course follows the battlefield road taking you around Bloody Angle, Mule Shoe where the Confederate army was attacked by the Union army, by the Harrison and McCoull farms, by Heth’s Salient and Burnside battle locations, and out of the park on Fredericksburg Road. Once you are out of the battlefield you turn right up Courthouse Road and back to the pavilion. All along the way you will see cannons and historical markers and truly get a sense of what came before us.  For further questions, please contact Catherine Weise @ cweise@family-ymca.org.
