Vicki King
Aquatics Director

Vicki has worked for the YMCA part-time since the 90’s.  She moved here from Wisconsin to take the full time position at the King George YMCA.  She is married and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

She is a licensed EMT and holds certifications in water exercise, lifeguarding and CPR.  She is 1/2 way thru completing her Masters Degree in Education.

Her personal motto is “Life isn’t waiting for the storm to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain”.  She loves having the members come to the Y, especially when they use the pool.  Come on in her door is always open.

King George Family YMCA Aquatics

Our enclosed, climate-controlled pool area permits swimming and aquatic activities year-round.  The 25-meter pool provides zero-depth entry for children, wheel-chair accessibility, and anyone who wants to enter the pool at any easy pace.  A mushroom cascade and water spouts
are favorites with the younger crowd.  Water jets provide a relaxing massage to swimmers
of all ages while sitting on the pool bench. Adults will enjoy our therapy spa, located on the pool deck. In addition to the 8 lanes for lap swimming, we offer over 18 different water fitness classes.  Swimming lessons are offered for all ages including adapted aquatics. Special events include Saturday swim parties and monthly "Flick and Float" nights, where families can watch their favorite movies while floating in the pool.  The King George Family YMCA proudly hosts the Raiders, a local competitive swim team.
