2012 SPOTSY RACE SCHEDULE
January 1st, 2012

Here's what we know for sure at this point for 2012 Spotsy Y races:

June 3rd - Youth Triathlon

August 26th - Sprint Triathlon

September 8th - Lakes and Grapes Century Ride

October 21st -10k run through History

December 31st - Village 5k/1m New Year's Eve

as soon as we get additional info and registration forms they will be added here

February Update:  there are still substitutes for some of Pearl's classes but she is trying to teach what she can!

MONDAY MORNINGS ~ same GREAT class line up ... INSTRUCTOR CHANGE - Tammy is doing Kickboxing and HIIT starting Feb 6th ... THANKS Tammy!

HOME SCHOOL FITNESS

MON & THURS 1:30-3:00pm for kids 4-18

free for YMCA members;  $6 drop in per child per class

4-6yr olds w/ Miss Nicky; 7-8yr olds w/ Miss Tammy; 8-10yr olds w/ Miss Sharon; 11 & older w/ Miss Becky

FEBRUARY's GAME PLAN:

9-10 yr olds ~ SWIMMING 1:30-2:15

7-8 yr olds ~ SWIMMING 2:15-3:00

when they are not swimming they are in the gym with Miss Tammy - so dress for BOTH activities

PLEASE - come dressed to swim even if you swim 2nd

MEET IN THE GYM - as we usually do every time - this way we can get an accurate head count prior to getting into the pool

- if your home schooler needs help in the locker room come prepared to provide that assistance

VOLUNTEERS - we need 2 per group that is swimming - 1 in the water and 1 on deck

This is for BOTH Mon and Thurs in February!

Miss Becky and Miss Nicky's classes are IN THE GYM - or outside if the weather is nice!

Miss Nicky's class will get 3 weeks in March to swim - so your turn IS coming!

GROUP TRAINING ...Commit to be fit
personal training in a group setting

 

How do I start? 

We run GROUP TRAINING sessions in 4, 6, or 8 week sessions

Our groups consist of 2 – 4 people – either YOU get a couple of friends together, or we will create groups based on similar goals or interest.
Your group will meet 2 times a week with your trainer who will give a 3rd workout as homework.

When do we meet? 
We will set up mid-morning, mid-day, and evening workout sessions.

Each workout will be 1 hour long with a warm up, active stretch, the workout, cool down, and then stretch.  Each session will have a nutrition component and a meeting time with our nutrition specialist - topic to be determined by the group.

Meet our Instructors:
JULIE EIBEN
National Academy of Sports medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Y Certified Cycling Instructor, Triahtlete, and Mom of four.  Through group training, I’ll assist you in reaching your fitness goals with a focus on functional strength training, flexibility, and conditioning.  My goal is to design a fitness program that is suited to your individual needs, helps you attain the life-long benefits of healthy activity, and is fun with a few friends!

PEARL GUDITUS

ACE Personal Trainer, Y Cycling Instructor, Silver Sneakers Instructor,

BA in Performing Arts.  Whether it is group training or 1-on-1 I strive to help each individual assess and attain their goals.  My background of instruction includes: aerobic conditioning, strength training, running, cycling, aquatic fitness, senior fitness, core training, flexibility and dance.  Find what moves you and let’s get moving!

MICHELLE MESSICK 

Nutrition Sepcialist.  Her background is in the what, when, why and how of nutrition for every body with a special focus on sports nutrition.

BECKY WEBER 

YMCA GROUP FITNESS MANAGER

AFFA group fitness, USAT Triathlon level I coach, USA Cycling level 3 coach, Cycle Reebok Instructor. My goal is to meet you where you are and facilitate changes to meet your goals.  We get down to the CORE and start our training there.  FAMILY GROUP TRAINING is a great way to get your whole family healthy – together!  There is an athlete is all of us – let’s awaken that inner athlete today!
